Product price levels, Positive Solutions & Microsoft RMS
Product price levels, Can I have multiple prices for the same products and or for different customers.
Sometimes the answer to your question is only a quick call away. Margaret from our support team handled this call a few days back, it relates to product pricing and Microsoft Dynamics RMS. Microsoft Dynamics RMS handles multiple price levels and is a standard feature.
“One of our customers rang this morning enquiring about using trade prices in RMS. He was wondering did he have to set up item again with a different price or is there a better way to do this.
1. I was glad he rang and asked the question. Some of our support customers forget to talk to us first and go ahead creating a lot of extra work for themselves!!
2. The answer is simply yes, there is a very easy way to manage trade prices
RMS allows for customers to have up to four different prices.
The first usually been your RRP regular, second is price level A, third is called price level B and finally you have price level C. We have customers who use all three, example Price is the regular price in store for retail customers. Price level A is for trade customers, B is used for cash and carry price and C is used for a third type of customer with an automatic 20% discount.
There is no need to go setting up items a second or third time. In the item properties you simply choose the pricing tab. You must decide at the start which levels are for which customers. When you have filled in your price levels you’re all set to go.
To use a different price level on the till you can set up a customised POS button and call it Price Levels or Trade Price etc. depending on the customer’s requirements. Then simply set the price level process transaction and when the transaction is completed POS reverts back to regular price or default system price for next transaction.”
Microsoft Dynamics RMS and Positive Systems Solutions have the answers to all you retail software requirements. Our solution is feature packed and full of useful tools to aid in the successful running of your business.
